Save the date for our 8th annual Riverwalk Trick or Treat event, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 4 pm – 7 pm. This is a FREE community event! Children in costume and their families are invited to come and trick or treat along the Riverwalk as well as enjoy fun activities. We will have over 50 treat stations participating along the Riverwalk from Water Works Park to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
DATE: Saturday, October 26, 2024
TIME: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Event is rain or shine.
LOCATIONS: 1.4 mile stretch from Water Works Park to Curtis Hixon Park
TRICK OR TREAT BAGS: Bags are available in all 3 parks, while supplies last, starting at 3:45 PM
TREATS: One item per child in costume, per location, while supplies last

4:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Riverwalk Trick or Treat (Water Works Park, Curtis Hixon Park, and along Riverwalk)
5:00 PM - Kids & Pet Costume Contest (Water Works Park)
6:00 PM - Thriller Flash Mob (Water Works Park)
6:30 PM - Thriller Flash Mob (Curtis Hixon Park)
7:30 PM - Movie in the Park (Curtis Hixon Park)

Riverwalk Halloween Kids & Pet Costume Contest presented by Grow Financial
Water Works Park Stage
October 26, 2024
Come out and compete for Best Halloween Costume at our Riverwalk Trick or Treat event on Saturday, October 26th. Judges will select their favorite costume in all age groups. Pets that join will also be judged!
Contest Rules
- Assemble a creative, spooky, funny or imaginative costume and wear it on your body.
- All costumes are welcomed; homemade, magically found, simply appear with a flick of a wand or even purchased or rented.
- Keep your costume “G” rated as this is a family event.
- Parents are welcome to walk with children/pets on stage during judging.
Age groups
- 0-3 years old
- 4-6 years old
- 7-9 years old
- 10-12 years old
- Small & Large Pets
Line-up
- Located at Water Works Park under the gazebo by the stage.
- Participants will then parade with their age group to the stage at the time listed below.
- Participants will then walk the stage during the contest!
Age Group 0-3:
- Line Up at the Gazebo - 5:10 PM
- Take Stage - 5:15 PM
Age Group 4-6:
- Line Up at the Gazebo - 5:20 PM
- Take Stage - 5:25 PM
Age Group 7-9:
- Line Up at the Gazebo - 5:30 PM
- Take Stage: 5:35 PM
Age Group 10-12:
- Line Up at the Gazebo - 5:40 PM

Come and join us on the Riverwalk for a FREE dance class!
This FREE dance class will be with Disney/Nickelodeon Choreographer, Myles Thoroughgood and TikTok's Jepstar!
Learn cool new moves along with the Choreography to Thriller from 3-4:00 PM at Waterworks Park. Enjoy the Trick or Treat Festival with Friends and family and then show off your dance skills while performing the Thriller Flash Mob at Water Works Park at 6 PM and one last time at 6:30 PM in Curtis Hixon Park (right before the Movie on the Lawn).
Dress as your favorite zombie character or even MK himself!
For extra practice you are welcome to come to the free workshop at Brucie Klay's Dance Center! Join us Friday, October 4, 2024 from 6-7:30 PM.
