Amalie Arena is home to the Stanley Cup winning Tampa Bay Lightning. It also boasts a year-round calendar of headlining concert performances and is home to the Arena Football League’s Tampa Bay Storm.

Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park hugs the north shore of Garrison Channel. Tampa’s earliest settlement by Native Americans on this land was named Cotanchobee meaning “the big place where water meets the land.” It’s also the site of Tampa’s first military installation. Today the park offers two children’s playgrounds and a splash zone in addition to Heroes Plaza and a Native American cenotaph.

Curtis HIxon Waterfront Park is the crown jewel of the city’s urban parks and is the centerpiece of the Tampa Riverwalk. The park integrates the Riverwalk with the Glazer Children’s Museum, the Tampa Museum of Art and downtown. Overlooking the Hillsborough River, the park, with its sloping great lawn, features two splash-zones, a high-tech children’s playground, public boat docks, a dog park, seating terraces and food and drink vendors.

The David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts is the largest performing arts complex south of the Kennedy Center. The 335,000 square-foot center hosts a wide variety of world-class events. The “campus” consists of five distinct theaters, a performing arts Conservatory, a rehearsal hall, boutiques and three on-site restaurants and banquet facilities.

eBOATS TAMPA is a new way for families to experience Tampa’s wonderful waterfront. Enjoy dining or simply cruise the river in an electric boat which is both quiet and easy to maneuver.

The Aquarium is home to more than 20,000 aquatic plants and animals from all over the world, displayed in over 200,000 square feet of exhibition space

Glazer Children’s Museum, comprising 53,000 square feet, serves as an early childhood educational resource for parents and caregivers, as well as local schools and area child service providers. The multi-disciplinary exhibits, educational programs, resource center and events are bringing thousands annually to downtown and the museum.

Tampa Bay History Center at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park on the Riverwalk features exhibits about Tampa Bay’s native Inhabitants, Spanish conquistadores and the people who shaped the area’s history, including a reproduction of a 1920s cigar stor

Tampa Museum of Art is poised on the Riverwalk at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. The Museum exhibits 20th century fine art as well as Greek, Roman and Etruscan antiquities. It also offers a broadrange of art-related experiences including classes, lectures and seminars. At dusk, the Museum’s exterior comes alive as thousands of decorative LED light dances across the building’s facade.

Tampa Theatre’s single auditorium hosts more than 600 events each year, including a full schedule of first-run and classic films, concerts, special events, corporate events, tours and educational programs.

The Urban Kai Stand up Paddle Board Shop (located on the Hillsborough River) is teaching, touring and offering fitness classes for stand up paddle boarding. It’s low impact, great exercise and fun! Location of their shop is 2305 N. Willow in Tampa.
